Rock/Review Space Owl - Flask
Ari Joshua, Bob Lovelace, John Ewing, and David Appelbaum started Space Owl in 2011. The band began playing original compositions around the Pacific. The original material was mostly brought in by guitarist and singer-songwriter Ari Joshua, and Bob and John both contributed as well to the band material. Over the years, there have been a few keyboardists and drummers in and out of the project. In 2020, Ari started releasing Space Owl music as part of his From the Vault series, and the interest in the music sparked a new interest in the band.

The Screaming Pope is techno music veteran George Bolton, who has been doing electronic music since 1979. He has played with, written for, done session work for, and opened for many bands. He even worked as a music video production assistant in the 80s and 90s and was an assistant engineer at the Cars studio SyncroSound in Boston.

Despite sonic transformation, her music is still interlinked with a classic and authentic quality carried by her darkly tinged voice and intimate vocals, as well as a shadowy-chic vibe reminiscent of the Velvet Underground. Combining 60s psych pop with folk and garage rock, Rykarda takes inspiration from travel, philosophy, psychology, poetry, literature, and her real-life experiences.

Sound Liberation is an eclectic chamber ensemble/band. It’s musical philosophy, developed by band founder Gene Pritsker, is based on "ending the segregation of sound vibration (i.e., musical genres)." The group incorporates its philosophy by performing compositions that encompass a diverse range of musical genres, heavily influenced by hip-hop and rock rhythms. This enables one to hear elements from classical music to jazz to music of various cultures at a Sound Liberation show.

After a decade of wandering down the same NYC streets, musicians Richey Rose & Lina Sophie met in the fall of 2017 at Brooklyn bar, Night of Joy. Bonding over a mutual love for Swedish pop, 80s alternative/first-wave, and 00s indie, the two later formed Songs for Sabotage in early 2019. They played their debut show in August 2019 at Bushwick’s the Sultan Room and released 3 self-produced singles with b-side remixes by May 2020.

Velcrocranes started out as a small jazz ensemble, but it wasn’t until they discovered the music of Porcupine Tree and the malleable world of progressive rock that their true sound came into focus. This new, expansive direction was the future of Velcrocranes. In 2018, the band released the EP 'Afterlife', which would bring the stirring and ethereal vocals of Efim Kolitinov into the forefront, as well as the harmonious guitar leads of Liza Kotova, who serves as a primary songwriter for the group, and the intricate arrangements from Alexander Papsuev.

Vanilla Franco is the brainchild of frontman Joey Quinn, who was forced to create the band after he joked about having one (he didn’t) and invertedly booked the non-existent group a gig. Recruiting friends and neighbours who promptly learned their instruments, Quinn formed Vanilla Franco and named it after a long-running joke within the group based on a mellow version of Trainspotting’s most violent character, Francis “Franco” Begbie.
