Pop/Review Josh Tepper - Built Me

Josh Tepper raised in New York City, he attended New York City’s prestigious Performing Art High School, Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, as a vocal major. He continued his college studies at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he majored in Cinema Studies. He is a twin and lives in New York City.

In his song “Built Me”, Josh Tepper examines the complexities of past relationships and how they continue to shape us even after we have moved on with life. With this song of the heart, Josh Tepper examines the notion that the past bonds never stop affecting our lives as soon as they are over.

It depicts how our past, especially in areas of love and affairs, can shape our lives as who we have become by now. This implies that in as much as these past relationships cause emotional bruises, they remain vital for personal development.

The lyrics used by Josh Tepper show that he was looking within himself hence his sentiments are based on feelings of long gone emotions. These lines and melody combine in harmony thus resulting in a well-felt symphony. “Built Me” is a song about how people are so complicated, yet what once was can still be lingering in us.

The song’s message asks the audience to contemplate on the long-lasting impacts that their previous relationships, whether they were good or bad, had on them as individuals. This helps us reflect that our past is a significant component of our being, and hence with time we develop, grow and improve towards perfection.

Josh Tepper’s “Built Me” makes listeners think about how relationships we had in the past contribute to form our personality today. The love song is an indication that relationships last long even after death and also shows how music can communicate with many hearts.
